LEADER 5

This is part of the Rural Development Programme, giving 40% grants to forestry (and other) projects that improve the management of woods or contribute in some way to the rural economy. There are three stages: telephone interview to ascertain whether you have any idea what time of day it is; complete an Expression of Interest Form, outlining what you have in mind; and finally if you jump those hoops, the full application form. Our Expression of Interest form will be considered by our LEADER(s) on 30th November and if approved we'll get to the final full form completion stage. We're after a contribution to the costs of the charcoal retort and a new garage/store to keep it and other equipment, and to store charcoal once we start producing it.
