Sparrowhawk!

This sparrowhawk landed on this post, 6 feet away from me while I was reading my book. I didn't hear it land and got quite a shock when I looked up. It was happy to sit there for a further 10 minutes watching and listening to the activity in the hedge nearby. I did not want the bluetits there to show themselves....

It was both exciting and anxious to see it; I didn't really want any action or drama
