HOOKWAY RETORT ARRIVES!

31 jULY 2020 James Hookway delivered his latest design and spent the day showing us how to operate it. The photo shows it in 'retort' mode - after heating up for two hours the gases being driven off the wood inside the sealed cylinder are hot enough to self-combust. After that it burns on for up to four hours without further intervention.
